Location: Science Centre, Leek Road

A mini Science Festival with biology at its heart. Activities for all ages throughout the day. Featuring hand-on stands, forensic biology, small mammals, bugs and bees and your chance to participate in the Great Biology Bake Off.

Reflecting Nature Photography Workshops (R002)

11am - 12 noon 

Artist Mark Ware whose work is exhibited around the Science Centre is inviting visitors to explore the work alongside psychologists Dr Nikki Street and Dr Gemma Hurst.

Nature Reserve Guided Walk

11am - 1pm

Meet at Reception, Science Centre. Weather dependent, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for muddy conditions.

Prize Giving for the Great Biology Bake Off (R001)

2pm   

Capture biology in a cake. Categories for all ages. Cakes to be delivered to the Science Centre between 9am – 4pm on Friday October 14 or 10.30am – 12 noon on Saturday October 15.

Step on board and we'll take you on a journey into the future.  Get a real taste for University life and facilities about our Great Minds Bus, immerse yourselves in our Virtual Reality Experience - an interactive glimpse into life on campus. Speak to our ambassadors and watch the epic Staffs: The Movie, a short film about our University in our very own cinema. And make sure you check out the student bedroom on the top deck.
